A recent Facebook report confirms VR and AR will be part of our all we do in our daily lives, from shopping to socializing. Marketers and entrepreneurs need to brace themselves to embrace VR and integrate it into their the Social PR and marketing strategy. By 2020, it’s predicted that more than 1 in 5 internet users in the US will experience VR content at least once a month. When it comes to augmented reality, it’s already part of our everyday lives. It’s Facebook’s latest video-calling device. Think Facetime on steroids. Portal by Facebook takes video calls to a whole new level and experience. It also includes Augmented Reality effects to make calls even more fun and interactive. Story Time brings stories to life with custom sound effects and visuals.


Besides stress, one of the hottest topics this year is CBD oil. Spiral Notebooks

Old school spiral notebooks are one of my favorite ways to journal my to-do list each day. If you buy the You Are Badass book, you will especially need a notebook to write out all the negative thoughts you keep in your brain and all the things you are grateful for each day. My favorite spiral notebook is by Each page even has a space for the date. Most importantly, it lies flat or folds over.

There is no denying the power of the written word. Just the act of writing down your dreams and goals, ignites an entirely new dimension of consciousness, ideas, and productivity according to Dr. Gail Matthews, a psychology professor at the Dominican University in California. She found you become 42% more likely to achieve your goals and dreams simply by writing them down on a regular basis.

Unplug It!

Whether it is a business mastermind such as the elite Baby Bathwater event, a destination industry workshop such as Cat Howell’s Facebook in Fiji, or the entrepreneur excursion Unplugged in Fiji, find a conference that focuses on relationship building and learning.

On the personal side – leave work in a box with boundaries. Take an unplugged time out even if it’s your own bathtub spa experience, going to the gym, checking out for lunch, or planning a vacation somewhere where your inbox is on auto response. Researchers found that when people “unplugged” from work-related tasks, such as checking their work email after hours, they reported feeling fresher and more recharged when beginning work the following day.

Ultimately, the key to success in Social PR is to find your zen throughout it. In a world that tends to be connected 24/7, it’s those who find the time to disconnect that achieve longevity and success with their Social PR efforts. Customer Care

Who’s in charge of your brand in 2019? Your customers. Make sure you are taking care of your customers where they are hanging out on social media. According to Sprinklr, 80% of consumers engage with brands online, and 54% of customers prefer social messaging channels for care instead of phone or email. If you have not already done so, get set up in a third party platform such as MobileMonkey to connect with customers and check out HubSpot’s Flywheel concept.
